Rocket Spanish Review:

rocket spanishI don’t doubt that this is the best spanish language learning system on the market today.  You will find exactly what you need to quickly and easily learn the spanish language.  And this course makes it fun.

It’s totally comprehensive and covers every aspect of learning spanish including spanish grammar, verbs, vocabulary, etc.  All in a game-learning type of atmosphere (which of course leads to the fun aspect, making it easier to retain).

In fact, when I logged into the members area, I was surprised that it contained so much information not only for beginners, but for all levels of spanish speaking.  This Rocket Spanish Review concludes that this course is very comprehensive for intermediate and advanced spanish also.

A lot of the learning takes place inside the learning game area when you can see pictures, and then the spanish word in writing, and also spoken.  So you learn how to spell the word, and how to say the word.  You’ll also learn how to put the words into sentences.  You can even add your own pictures and words.

This includes over 550 pages featuring over 400 exercises and embedded audio clips, giving you over 25 hours of spanish education entertainment and learning pleasure…

So, why buy other learn to speak spanish programs when this one has EVERYTHING you need to learn spanish in one place?  And it’s available now so you can begin right now…

learning spanish like crazyThis Learn Spanish Like Crazy Review should give you an in-depth summary of what you will find in the highly rated Learning Spanish Like Crazy (LSLC) course.

First of all, Learning Spanish Like Crazy is a course offered in audio only, so it’s great for learning in the car or when you’re doing stuff around the house.  Actually, there are downloadable pdf’s if you want to see the course in writing, which I do sometimes.

Something about listening, repeating, and seeing helps me to learn better.  The format is in cd’s and is also available as a mp3 download.  The material is high quality, totally comprehensive, very easily understandable, and quickly moves through the material.

In fact, lots of people prefer this method because it’s totally audio.  Some just learn better and faster this way.

What’s included in your LSLC package -

  • 15 CDs – Learning Spanish Like Crazy, Level 1
  • 15 CDs – FSI  Spanish 1 Program
  • 12 CDs – FSI Spanish 2 Program
  • 6 CDs – Spanish Fast Course

FSI stands for the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute.  Since its’ inception, this method of learning spanish is not offered until recently to the general public.

FSI Spanish teaching was used to quickly teach foreign service agents, drug enforcement and FBI agents how to speak spanish at lightning speed.  So we know this method works…

This Learn Spanish Like Crazy review can honestly tell you that this is a good course.  There’s also some good and interesting bonuses included.

  • “Los Dichos” – Spanish sayings
  • “Los Insultos No Vulgares” – regular insults
  • “Los Insultos Vulgares” – vulgar insults
  • Lifetime access to a native online instructor
  • Lifetime access to the LSLC forum

These might be good to know when you’re traveling.  I know a lot of people can be interested in how to say certain types of words or phrases that they may need to respond to quickly.

The lessons are done by three instructors.  Two men and one woman.  They speak clearly.  Easy to follow lessons and a slow pace make it very easy to comprehend.  This Learn Spanish Like Crazy review recommends this as a good course.

synergy spanishSynergy Spanish claims to help you learn spanish quickly and easily even if you’ve tried other courses and failed.  It uses a simple method discovered by the founder, Marcus Santamaria, to help you learn spanish words quickly and to easily put sentences together.

Does it work?  There are several students (who have posted testimonials, also) who can attest that it does.  The founder created this system when he married a spanish woman and they decided to move to Mexico.

He didn’t speak a word of spanish.  He needed to learn quickly.  And he was an english teacher who would be teaching english as a second language, so he really needed to learn spanish.

In his search to learn spanish quickly, he created this new system with a base of 138 words.  To keep it simple.  If you learn this base of 138 words, you can easily express yourself in the spanish language.

Synergy Spanish does just that.  It helps you put your base of words together to create sentences and learn to talk like a native.  It allows you to feel comfortable in real-life spanish conversations, in as little as a month.

learn spanish guideHere is your Visual Link Spanish Review:

Visual Link Spanish has to be one of the most fun and interactive internet spanish learning software tools on the web today.  It is a software learning course.  It also comes with audio CDs and a mini manual, but this material is also available in the software.

This Visual Link Spanish review will cover the basics of the program and let you know what I feel are the strong points (and its’ weaknesses).  All in all, I think this is a GREAT course!

There is lots of interaction to keep you interested.  The software is easy to get around.  Visual Link Spanish teaches you how to construct sentences.  It disects them into common groups and then recombines the groups into different combinations.

Click Here for Visual Link Spanish

The way I learned most about this Visual Link Spanish to review was by signing up for the free lessons.  There are 11 of them.  You get a great window into the lessons by signing up for the free lessons.  And–you will be able to make sentences after the first 15 minutes!

It’s really neat–the speaker (male and female) talk to you, explaining what is going on, you get to see the word or words, a picture pops up (animated), and you get to repeat the words.  Then you put the sentence together.

It was really easy.  It also tells immediately how to form the “negative”–what you don’t want…

So, the object of this course is to teach you how to form complete sentences instead of just learning isolated vocabulary words.  This lets you to quickly start learning spanish by the end of the first lesson.

Even the free lessons are really neat.  There’s a male and a female speaker.  One says the word or the phrase, then an animated picture is shown, and that phrase is added to other words.  You, the learner, repeat the words after the speaker.

On top of that, there’s a weekly newsletter that comes directly to your inbox, on top of the free lessons.  There’s also a free online dictionary on their website.

There’s also a free demo where you can contemplate the first 15 minutes of the audio/visual complete course, so you can try the real lessons out for yourself.

Rocket Spanish is guaranteed to help you learn quickly.  In fact, it promises to create a learning environment that lets you speak spanish naturally and confidently in less than 2 months!  I like that guarantee…

Rocket Spanish allows you to listen to spoken spanish.  You can hear conversations spoken in everyday situations like they actually talk in Spain or Mexico.  Practice pronouncing the words, work up to making phrases, repeat these in context, and you’ll soon work your way up to making and speaking entire sentences.

What comes in the Rocket Spanish program (in a nutshell):

Breaking down verbs
Pronunciation
Vocabulary practice

Along with the downloadable mp3 version of the audio materials, you’ll get written transcripts too.  I like this part because it allows me to see the words (that’s how I learn best).  While I say the words…

And for me, which I like the most, I can listen to my spanish lessons on the way to work.  So while I sit in commuter traffic, there I am, practicing my spanish, making the most use of my time.  While, of course, dreaming about my next vacation to Mexico where I can converse quite well with the locals.

If you want to learn spanish fast, learn spanish on a podcast is the best kept secret.   Really…  Use that time you spend jogging, shopping, brushing your teeth, to practice your spanish.  Nothing cements it in your brain faster…

And the games are great, too.  Because they’re a lot of fun.  I always learn faster when learning takes place in the form of fun such as the learn spanish podcast.  Life is too serious…  Then take a trip, see an exotic land where you can speak spanish, and practice what you’ve just learned!

Rocket Spanish-Click Here! The newest tool to use while studying spanish is to learn spanish on a mp3.  Because you can take your spanish with you.  Practice whenever and wherever you want to.  That iPod is your best friend to help you learn spanish.

I thought I’d summarize some of the best reasons why people use downloadable spanish in mp3 form to learn spanish these days.  Here are some of the top reasons:

1.  Convenience - Learn spanish on an mp3 anywhere!  Take it to the gym.  Take it shopping, while out walking, at work (!).  Download those files, listen to the spanish, and repeat…

2.  Fast - It’s been proven that learning spanish on downloadable mp3 courses, or on a CD is one of the fastest ways to learn another language.  Hearing it as often as you want seems to cement the accent and inflections of the language.

3.  Pace - Go at your own learning speed, faster or slower.  You can repeat areas that  you need to hear more than once.  If you took a spanish course and had to go to a classroom, the speed is dictated by the instructor, and everyone else in the class.

Click Here to learn more about available Learn Spanish MP3s

4.  Cost - In the long run, deciding to learn spanish on an mp3 will be more economical.  Not only is there the cost of the class, but there’s the time, and the cost of running back and forth to class.

5.  Timelessness - You have a classroom with you at all times when you learn spanish on an mp3.  Forever…  That course is yours and you can continue to learn spanish, whenever you need it.

6.  Scheduling - Learn spanish on your own time.  It’s your life, you get to schedule your learning in your free time.  You don’t have to go to class when someone else tells you to.  Even if you only have a few moments, fit some spanish learning in there…

There are also other benefits like more interaction because that spanish teachers’ voice is with you all the time.  Turn that iPod on, listen to the spanish voice, repeat his voice, complete with spanish accent.  Your spanish will sound more like a “real” spanish speaker because you keep hearing the real spanish over and over.

Most of all, a course to learn spanish on mp3 is faster and easier learning.  Almost all of the top learn spanish courses will have downloadable versions of their course on mp3.  I’ll recommend a few of the best on this site.

Rocket Spanish-Click Here!Parents who encourage and help their kids to learn spanish are allowing one of the best gifts they can ever give their kids.  Learning a second language can immensely broaden their horizons and give them skills to cope in an ever-widening world.

Since Spanish is now the third most spoken language in the world today, after english and chinese, it’s an obvious choice to choosing it as a second language.  And just think, as a parent, you can also help your kids learn spanish and study it right beside them!

There is a “new” word for this, and it’s called immersion.  Totally immerse your child in the atmosphere of learning spanish at home and they will carry it with them everywhere and speed up learning.

Click Here to Learn More About Rocket Spanish

Immersion is a subconscious process where the child does not even know that he is learning.  It becomes so much a part of the surroundings that learning spanish becomes engrained.

And fun…  Because your child does not even know that he is learning.  This is all backed up by scientific research that shows that this is the easiest way for a child to learn spanish.

Totally surround your child in spanish.  As much as you can…  The brain kicks in and subconsciously does the work for them!

It’s been shown that this process works best between the ages of 0 to 12.  Maybe because the kids learn spanish and absorb it better during this stage.  But–adults also learn extremely well using the immersion method.

So, how to immerse your child in spanish?  Well, the easiest way is to make it fun.  Kids love to have fun (Who doesn’t?).  If they don’t know they’re being made to do something, it will be much more fun.

And what’s the most fun for them?  Playing.  And games…

There are many spanish learning programs available, a lot of them online, that use games as spanish lessons for kids.  There are some great ones with vocabulary games, audio games, verb games, etc.

Usually there will be a screen with pictures and the child picks a certain picture.  There will be a voice that says the spanish word.  And the word will be spelled out in english and in spanish underneath.

Sometimes they get 4 choices of what the right word should be and they get to pick the right one.  Fun!

Another fun way of learning involves the use of flash cards to help kids learn spanish.  Kid-friendly picture with the spanish word on the back.  Kids also love this…

It’s like having a home tutor on call 24 hours a day.  And a few programs are adult-friendly, too.  So you can learn right along with your kids.  Total immersion program.

Interactive audio has a picture, the word is spoken in spanish, then the child has to repeat the word back again.  Great way to learn quickly.

So, what’s the best way to help your children learn spanish quickly?

  • Figure out how to totally immerse them in spanish.
  • Find a babysitter that speaks spanish.
  • Play spanish games on the computer.
  • Figure it out!  Be creative about finding different ways to really immerse your child in thinking spanish.
  • Speak spanish to your kids.  Suppose you don’t know spanish?  Learn along with them!

Research has shown that learning a foreign language can help to improve memory.  It can help your child do better on tests.  Learning spanish can also help a child’s ability to learn his first language.  There is no better gift that to help your kids learn spanish.

Rocket Spanish-Click Here!Perhaps one of the best ways to learn spanish is through spanish learning games.  No kidding–because it’s fun!  There’s enough hard and serious ways to learn in the world.  The best way to make a language stick is by having fun.

I’ve found that lots of people are looking for spanish learning games these days.  It’s become the hot new thing.  (Along with learn spanish podcasts!).  We’re all looking for new ways to learn things, with new tools to help us do that.

So what’s in a learn spanish game?  I would say that the number one thing to look for is–is it interactive?  You want to be able participate in the learning.  Look at a picture, see the word, hear the word, say the word.  Next step–combine words into phrases.  After that–combine phrases into sentences.  Spanish learning games help you do that.

Courses like Rocket Spanish include major components of their learn spanish programs in the form of spanish learning games.  Rocket Spanish has three major games.

GAME 1:  MegaVocab Software Learning Game – This game helps you to remember tons of words.  No need for books because in this game you see the words written.  It helps you to build words.  Build up the number of spanish words in your vocabulary with this simple-to-use word recall game.

MegaVocab itself has over 1,000 words and includes twenty topics.  Yet another neat feature of MegaVocab is that it lets you add your own personal pictures and words.  You get to add dozens of them…

Rocket Spanish MegaVocab

GAME 2:  MegaAudio Software Learning Game – This game helps you to understand and recognize the sounds of the spoken language quickly.  You choose a topic like television or sports or ordering in restaurants.  MegaAudio chooses 20 random words on your chosen topic.  When you hear that word spoken, then choose a picture to go with it.

The game keeps score, so the object, obviously, is to get a higher and higher score.  This game helps you to understand the spoken language better, when you hear it.

Rocket Spanish MegaAudio

GAME 3:  MegaVerb Software Learning Game – This game is specifically designed for those spanish students who want to advance quickly in the spanish learning games area.  Conjugating verbs can be one of the hardest areas of learning spanish.

This game is a wonderful aid in understanding how spanish verbs change so often depending on the context and also the tense.  It makes memorization easier and hopefully less painful.  It’s kinda neat–you get 4 chances to translate a random verb.  Points are added up, and each time you try to get a higher and higher score.

Spanish learning games are my favorite part of learning spanish.  What sold me is how interactive these games are.  I just don’t get to watch the game, I have to participate.  If it weren’t for having fun while learning, I don’t know if I could keep up the program.  These games certainly make the process a lot easier and faster to learn.

Learn Spanish in Costa RicaOh to learn spanish in Costa Rica!  It’s a dream, a beautiful lush green country full of rain and cloud forests, miles and miles of beaches.  Unspoiled coral reefs, snorkeling, volcanoes, and white water rafting.

Costa Rica is a great place to learn spanish if only because it really is quite possibly the best situation on the planet to totally immerse yourself in a heavenly culture.  There are lots of job opportunities there if you know both spanish and english.  Good reasons to learn spanish in Costa Rica.

That’s because there are a large amount of Americans there, and visitors from other english-speaking countries.  Actually, lots of Americans live there.  It’s a safe country to live in, it’s extremely affordable, it has a spring-like mild climate all year round, and it is economically stable.

The government of Costa Rica wants people from many countries to live there, so they work extremely hard to protect itself, so you will feel safe here.  Costa Rica itself is actually one of the few stable, and democratic countries of Latin America.

Learn Spanish in LondonThere are so many schools and places to learn spanish in London that it’s sometimes overwhelming.  Where do you start with your decision making?  Perhaps I can shed a little light on where to start with some recommendations on individual schools and agencies that will put together a program for you.

London is the biggest city in Europe.  That makes it huge, and sometimes there is just too much going on.  20 percent of its’ population is non-white ethnic groups.  So there is a lot of spanish being spoken here.

There are over 8 million people in London.  It’s number 10 largest city in the world.  And the number of visitors coming to London is increasing rapidly.  28 million people visited London in 1999.

The easiest way to get around in London is by the underground (tube) and by walking.  Actually, there is so much to see, that walking is really the best way to take it all in.

Of all the things to do in London, besides learning spanish in London, there are my top 10 favorites.  Be sure to do these:

  1. Ride the top deck of a London bus
  2. Cruise the Thames
  3. Escape to Hyde Park
  4. Take a walking tour of London
  5. Afternoon tea
  6. Go to a church concert
  7. Take in the view at Waterloo Bridge
  8. Visit a London pub
  9. Portobello Road street market
  10. Inns of Court – true London local oasis

All of this aside, where do you learn spanish in London?  There are so many good choices.  I found it hard to narrow them down.  But one school stands out, and I have recommended it for other areas around the world for learning spanish.  That is the:

INSTITUTO CERVANTES LONDON
102 Eaton Square
London SW1W 9AN
020 7235 0353

The Instituto Cervantes have campuses all over the world in lots of small and major cities where people want to learn spanish.  It was organized by the spanish government in 1991 to promote the cultures and languages of spanish-speaking countries.

It operates in over 40 cities on 4 continents.  Not only does it teach spanish in London, it trains spanish teachers and promotes spanish cultural events.
They have beginning to advanced courses, intensive learning, online classes and spanish for companies.

CACTUS LANGUAGE COURSES UK.CO.UK
+44 (0)1273 725200
Wow–This is a very popular local school with loads of locations to learn spanish in London.  They also teach many other languages, all in the London area.  Some of their schools are in very fun locations like Baker Street, Picadilly, Oxford Circus, Winbledon, etc.  So you can pick and choose a course depending on the area.

A lot of their courses take place in the evenings, and are for 10 weeks long.  On line you will find course outlines, descriptions of schools, and lots more interesting information.  The class size looks to be about 12 students max.

ST. GEORGE INTERNATIONAL (stgeorges.co.uk)
79-80 Margaret Street
London W1W 8TA
020 7299 1710

This is another London based school that offers classes all over London and surrounding cities in England.  They have a wide range of spanish courses taught by native speaking teachers.

St. Georges offers general spanish courses, company courses, evening classes, and flexible schedules through intensives, which is about 30 hours per week.

Hopefully this gives you a good place to start while doing your research on where to learn spanish in London.  It’s a fun city with lots and lots to do to keep you overly-occupied while you learn spanish.

Learn Spanish in MexicoWhat better way to learn spanish than to learn spanish in Mexico?  Can’t think of a better way.  Immerse yourself in the food, the culture, the life, and you will HAVE to learn spanish quickly.

I’ve always wanted to live and to learn spanish in Mexico.  It’s been a lifelong dream of mine.  Someday maybe I’ll get to do it.  In the meantime, I’ve done quite a bit of research on spanish language schools in Mexcio, spanish immersion in Mexico, etc.

I’ll share a little bit of that with you here.  Where are the best schools?  What cities might you want to live in?  Mexico itself is a diverse, laid-back, colorful culture.  It’s extremely artistic and independent–in politics, in the people themselves.

Mexico is beyond a doubt one of the most interesting places to learn to speak spanish.  By totally immersing yourself in the culture (and the food!) there is no better way to learn spanish faster.  Not only is the land beautiful, the history is fascinating.

Mexico City, in and of itself, is pretty amazing.  It’s huge!  Over 20 million people live there, and it’s the second largest city in the world.  To be overwhelmed by Mexico, study here.  You’ll find Aztec pyramids, amazing art, wonderful restaurants, excellent museums, ancient colonial homes, etc.

From here you can make side trips just outside of Mexico City.  The pyramids of Teotihuacan are a good place to start–they are one of the most important archeological discoveries in Latin America.

But all in all, Mexico as a whole offers the best language schools around, and lots of them are in smaller cities and communities that would offer lots of smaller classes in more personal settings.

Some are on the coastlines, at the beach cities, where the beaches are some of the most beautiful you’ve ever seen.  It would be very easy to get lost in the local peoples.

I’ve included a list of a few of the best sites that can hook you up with the best schools to learn spanish in Mexico.

Learn Spanish in SpainLearn Spanish in Spain!  What a wonderful way to learn the language quickly.  In a beautiful romantic setting where it will be almost impossible to forget what you’ve learned.

This type of studying spanish is considered to be the immersion method, which is great!  To immerse yourself into a culture will speed your learning along quickly because you will have to learn it.

This is really considered a “language vacation”.  Spend some time in a major city, get to know the people, the culture, the music, the food.  All of this cultural stimulation will help to engrain the language into your brain.

Research has shown that learning spanish by immersion will greatly increase your retention of the language.  What better way to help remember the language.

There are at least ten things to consider when before you sign up to learn spanish in Spain.  Let’s consider a language school in Spain.  There are some wonderful schools in major cities that have been around for a long time.  What should you look for?

1.  Location

In most cases, it’s best to consider a school in a large metropolitan area.  It’s easier to find lodging.  It’s easier to get around on public transportation.  And there are usually field trips involved that help to immerse you in the surrounding spanish culture.

2.  School

Established school will have the best reputations and can be more professional because they’ve been around for a while and have had more time to establish themselves in the community.

3. Cost

Make sure that the school is well within your price range.  It’s a big decision to make, you want the best education for your money.  But consider all your other options, too.  This isn’t always the most important part of the decision.

4. Class Size

You’ll learn faster when the class size is not too large.  You’ll need lots of one-on-one time, but you’ll also need some fellow students to practice conversational spanish with.  You want to have fun (most important) when you learn Spanish in Spain.

5. Lodging

Can you live at the school or on the campus?  If the school makes lodging arrangements, you’ll want to be close enough to the school.  Also consider how what kind of transportation you’ll need to get back and forth.

6. Classes

What types of classes are offered?  Make sure that you have culture classes and lots of classes with native spanish teachers.  Offset your spanish language classes with some fun culture classes, too.

7. Students

These are international classes, so you want to make sure that your fellow classmates are from a wide variety of countries, not just from one country.  It’s important that you have fellow students to talk to, and they’re not all speaking english, or maybe german in their free time.

8. Refunds

In case of cancellation or postponement of your trip, or if something changes, make sure you know the refund policy, to protect yourself.

The other considerations to learn spanish in Spain would be to get a private tutor, or a tutor who teaches only two students.   This is an amazing way to skyrocket your learning into the next level, with one-on-one attention to details.

I can’t think of a faster, more efficient and effective, fun way to learn such a romantic language than to learn spanish in Spain.
